From a volunteer teacher in a Jakarta orphanage to teaching at Yale University and University of Wisconsin-Madison on a Fulbright grant, language has been my passport.

Since then, I’ve guided hundreds of professionals and rising leaders to swap hesitation for confident communication in boardrooms and beyond.

I’ve also guided scholarship hunters to craft personal essays and top scores on TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, SAT, and other high-stakes tests. My data-driven strategies turn grammar and phonology insights into their exam success.

Linguist — Syntax & Phonology 

With a magna cum laude M.A. in applied linguistics and a B.Ed. in language teaching, I have served duties overseas assigned by my country as a national language ambassador.

When I'm off-duty, you’ll find me on Duolingo comparing and contrasting 10+ languages' syntaxes and phonological systems. That 'beginner feeling' keeps my teaching sharp.

My research (nine papers and a book chapter) bridges theory and practice in language teaching, sociolinguistics, translation, and lexicogrammar.  

Today my organization is advancing its mission to help people navigate the challenges of learning languages. My international travel —28 countries and counting— informs every lesson, turning native accents, idioms, and cultural cues into cross-linguistic understanding.
