Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy, tailored for university-level instruction or corporate training in foreign languages, is grounded in five core principles:

• 1. Fostering Self-Sufficiency: My foremost goal is to empower students to become autonomous learners. I emphasize the importance of resourcefulness and independent problem-solving, encouraging them to seek solutions before seeking assistance.

  2. Inclusive Differentiated Learning: I firmly believe that all students, regardless of their background or proficiency level, can excel in learning. I am dedicated to addressing the diverse learning needs of students through differentiated instruction, catering to their unique skills and abilities. I create tailored and stimulating learning environments that cater to the individual needs of each student, enabling them to flourish, explore, and reach their full potential. My aim is to cultivate a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages risk-taking and self-expression.

  3. Strategic Integration of Technology: To create dynamic and effective learning experiences for students, I combine various methods, such as flipped classroom, gamification, task-based teaching, content and language-integrated learning (CLIL), collaborative learning, peer review, technology-enhanced learning, reflective practice, content creation, and multimodal learning.

  4. Strong Student-Teacher Relationships: In university-level teaching, I prioritize developing strong student-teacher relationships and engaging in one-on-one interactions. Flexibility is a cornerstone of my approach, adapting to the specific needs of each student.

  5. Intrinsic Motivation and Real-World Relevance: I believe that adult students thrive when intrinsically motivated. My teaching revolves around creating engaging, relevant lessons that encourage active discovery and critical thinking. Learning is hands-on, emphasizing experiential learning over mere information dissemination.

Through these principles, I aim to create a student-centered classroom environment that values the whole student, promotes intrinsic motivation, and fosters creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills. 

My commitment to providing equal access to core content ensures that every student has the opportunity to excel in their academic journey. 

Ultimately, my teaching philosophy is centered on empowering students to take ownership of their learning, thrive in authentic contexts, and develop the skills and knowledge necessary for their academic and professional success.
