Indonesian for Spanish speakers
From a volunteer teacher in a Jakarta orphanage to teaching at Yale University and University of Wisconsin-Madison on a Fulbright grant, language has been my passport.
I’ve helped hundreds of professionals to swap hesitation for confident communication in boardrooms and beyond.
I’ve also guided scholarship hunters to craft personal essays and top scores on tests like TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, and more.
Corporate Language Trainer & EdTech Enthusiast
I design English programs for global corporations and government agencies using projects to raise fluency fast. List of my past clients.
Colloquial Indonesian Researcher-Teacher
I build courses on spoken Indonesian to reveal authentic slang and discourse. The same approach powers my Facebook page Colloquial Indonesian.
Linguist — Syntax & Phonology
With a magna cum laude M.A. in applied linguistics and a B.Ed. in language teaching, I served duties assigned by my country as a national language ambassador.
When I'm off-duty, you’ll find me on Duolingo comparing and contrasting 10+ languages' syntaxes and phonological systems. That 'beginner feeling' keeps my teaching sharp.
My research (nine papers and a book chapter) bridges theory and practice in language teaching, sociolinguistics, translation, and lexicogrammar.
My firsthand experience in over 25 countries influences all my lessons, helping students understand the universal principles of world languages.
