When I'm off-duty, you’ll find me on Duolingo comparing and contrasting 10+ languages' syntaxes and phonological systems. That 'beginner feeling' keeps my teaching sharp.

My research (nine papers and a book chapter) bridges theory and practice in language teaching, sociolinguistics, translation, and lexicogrammar.
